Calandra, Magnetic Boss Studio, Woman Entrepreneur Highlight

We were lucky enough to have a little Q&A sesh with the lovely Calandra over at the Magnetic Boss Studio recently! We love her and her business magic so very much! Soak up some of her knowledge here:

I love the name of your company. How’d you come up with it?

Magnetic Boss Studio’s name was born from the intention we hold for each client we work with. Our goal is to help our clients feel confident in their brand, and possess the energy that magnetizes their dream clients.

It’s also a reminder to myself, as a woman and business owner, that I possess the power to be magnetic. It’s taken many years of personal development and inner work to feel this level of magnetism. I remember being filled with self-doubt in the early stages of my business. Those days are long gone, and our business name is a reminder of that!

How did you find the team that you work with?

We have a global team that I couldn’t be more grateful for! I have found most of our team members through listings in entrepreneur Facebook groups. We have a junior designer in Australia, and virtual assistant/social media manager in New Zealand. Our fantastic OBM happens to be local, which makes work meetings that much more fun!

Why is collaboration important to you?

Collaboration is at the core of every incredible business, in my opinion. I’ve built my entire business on word-of-mouth and organic marketing. I love to collaborate with high-level women who are driven to do, be and have more in this lifetime. Ambitious women working together are absolutely unstoppable!

With social media being a saturated market, how do you find ways to stay unique and have quality content?

I actually believe that social media isn’t saturated…IF you are positioning your business strategically and intentionally. This is the core of the work that we do with women. The more you can stay true to YOU and shine a light on what makes you and your business unique, the easier it is to create quality content that stands out online.

I see on your website that you are into cafes/coffee shops. Do you have a favorite place to work?

I love supporting local businesses and finding cozy places to curl up with my laptop and a quality cup of coffee! One of my favorite places to work is Little Dog Coffee Shop in Brunswick. On a work-day that I get to sit in a coffee shop I tend to jump from place to place to switch up the energy! There is something so special about a busy atmosphere and friendly smiles.

Podcasts are engaging, relevant, and they are here to stay. What makes yours unique? Have you had positive feedback from it?

Podcasts are a beautiful platform to produce high-quality evergreen content. Ours is unique because we are speaking to an audience that can often feel alienated from the rest of the online marketing space. We know that spiritual entrepreneurs have unique businesses that go deeper than fancy funnels and SEO. Our clients are looking for tips, resources, and juicy conversations on the energetics of business in addition to strategic growth. The podcast has grown steadily over the years, and we have exciting goals for it in the coming year! It’s a vital part of our business structure.

Do you have a private Facebook group? If so, do you find this to be helpful for your business?

We do! I like to think of the Magnetic Boss Collective as our secret retreat on the internet. Although our community may be considered small in numbers, we have a tight-knit community of women that are eager to support each other. Our Facebook group is designed to build connections, be a place for networking, with a generous dose of high-value content and resources for members.

I find this space to be so useful for nurturing our warm audience and building strong connections with people outside of the public social media platforms.

Being centered around women is also an important aspect of B|A. What influenced you to be a light and guide for women and their businesses?

I started my business as a first-time mom with a newborn strapped in a baby carrier on my chest. I had no clue what I was doing, but thanks to a community of women entrepreneurs that were sharing their stories online, and offering support, I was able to see what was possible.

The work that I do is centered around women because we are remarkable, quite simply. Women can bootstrap our businesses, while also radiating our divine feminine energy to grow something out of literally nothing.

I absolutely love watching women step into their power and rise up against all odds to create something that is wilder than their wildest dreams. My journey has been an example of that, and I find there is a special comradery between women of similar life paths.

Tell us about a success story you have with a company you helped brand!

You need to know Jennifer Greneir of Divine Vitality. I started working with Jenn on her brand in 2020. At the time she was working as a therapist full time, promoting natural wellness solutions part-time, and exploring her options with expanding her business in the online space.

To say that her business has gone through an evolution is an understatement. I am so proud of where she is today!

We started working together on her visual brand and website, giving her Wordpress site a complete overhaul. We designed her logo for the first time professionally. We launched her brand to the world and then just over a year later…

Transformation.

Jenn’s business model changed, and her business grew alongside her!

I love sharing Jenn’s brand story because it is such a testament to the process of coming home to who you are, and what you are here to do.

Divine Vitality is now a brand that helps women find the vital Universe within to live an aligned life. She works to understand, guide, and support you on your journey to balance and wellness by using her extensive training in the mental health field and knowledge of holistic modalities including essential oils & Human Design.

After we redesigned Jenn’s website for a second time (on an entirely different platform), updated her visual branding with a fresh color palette & logo, and created graphic templates for her to use in her business, Jenn was able to step into her confidence in her business. She can now share her business with ease, and attract high-level women that are eager to work with her.

It’s so fun to watch Jenn in her element and passion!

What helps you get through the day when you’re busy, backed up on emails, and struggling to find creativity?

Stepping away from the to-do’s entirely. I’ve built my business to work for my dream life and have structured it in a way that allows me to step away from it when I need to re-charge.

If I’m not feeling inspired and find myself in a creative slump I give myself permission to just be. I find that getting in nature, being present with my family, and limiting my consumption of social media helps tremendously with reigniting my passion.

I also make a point to schedule regular coffee dates with my local community of driven women. Being in the energy of other entrepreneurs and “talking shop” is always extremely inspiring.

After all, we rise together!
