Okay, a wild swing here — just like Maine’s weather, amiright?? But seriously, I know just yesterday I was daydreaming about dock-jumping and sun-tanning…but here I am this morning, (im)patiently waiting at my car dealership. I’m sporting my wool mini skirt, my suede booties, I’m drinking a cup of steaming coffee. And I’ve turned a little bit of a corner, maybe. Because I think I’m ready for winter. And if I wasn’t before, I am now that I’ve immersed myself in this family maternity session with the Rubito family from last December.

As much as I crab (mostly good-naturedly) about our frigid, frozen state, I also secretly love the opportunities for coziness and buffalo plaid. And for gorgeous, magical images like these.
