Meg & Baby Elliot | Maine Newborn Photography
- MEG & BABY ELLIOT -
A Maine Newborn Portrait Session
It is impossible to understand the magic that is contained within a newborn baby.
The tiniest little package, mere days old, so baffling in so many ways. Somehow, in these brand-new, milky-sweet days, those little creatures work some sort of spell, transforming us into something new entirely: mothers, fathers, families. Such power leveraged in seven or eight pounds of baby love. They capture our hearts before we even lay eyes on them, and once we do...they've got our all.
While those days are written on our hearts, and we can never forget the beauty and that magic...it is so, so fleeting. The little wrinkle that was there yesterday is gone today. The eyes slowly changing shades. The cowlick smoothing out. The rolls and folds lengthening and turning into a new, sturdy little soul. We've gotta capture it, guys.
WHAT WE LOVED MOST
- Confidence: Meg is a new mom, but an unshakable one - already.
- Memories: These photos were actually taken at a backyard BBQ, with family at our beck and call, shouting out ideas for cute poses. We love that they were a part of documenting these moments, and the idea that Elliot will one day hear the story of the fun that was had.
- Laughter: It was truly the soundtrack of the day.

THE RIPPLE EFFECT
While it may be impossible to understand their magic, it turns out that it's possible to capture the tiniest sliver for safe-keeping. We are so, so looking forward to telling more of these stories.
