Kayla & Matt reached out to me to photograph “just a few photographs of us together. We don’t really have any”

Now, I typically go with the notion that when someone says that to me, there truly are maybe a handful, generally from one event, so I assumed, their most obvious collection of photographs surely had to be from their wedding. 

I was wrong. So wrong. 

Matt and I went to high school together, and after a little reconnecting and chatting about “how’s life”, both he and Kayla explained how due to some severe & extreme circumstances, they were left to hope that a few disposable cameras in the hands of Uncle Bob and Aunt Karen had been the remnants of their best day to date. — I immediately crumbled and then we went to work after some seriously big hugs. 

We made it a priority to laugh, play, dance, dip, be utterly foolish, entirely inappropriate at times, and wildly in love throughout it all. 

I had the best time, and can’t wait to hear about your next big moves, and all of the wonderful coming your way! You two deserve it all! 

Let’s just pretend you’re getting married again, so I can photograph it & way more of your love! ♥️
